    Unknown camo jacket and hat

    Gentlemen,

this is my first post in this forum. I am not a collector, just a poor german student interested in camouflage and trying to make a few bucks hunting the flea markets over here for an occasional militaria find.

Recently I stumbled upon two items that I would like to know more about.

First is this camo parka which seems to be original in my eyes. But what is that camo pattern? Looks like applied with a paintbrush? I have never seen this before on the internet or in books.

The second item is this hat. I have never seen this one before either. I dont think this is a wartime product, but what is it? German border police from the 1950ies?

Thank you for your interest in my questions.

    Sincerely,
    Henning

Hi Henning, welcome to the forum!

I have no problem with the jacket. It would appear to be a Mouse grey parka with a painted pattern by the looks of it?

The cap is as bad as you thought

    Cheers, Ade.

I know the hat is not from the war, but the company emhage-berlin existed. It is located in the east and produced lots of hats for the military, police and postal service in the eastern part of germany.

So this camohat was produced in the 50ies for someone that used the splittercamo. But who could that be?

Doesn't really anyone know anything about the hat? Even the german forums are quiet about it.
