      I think I have a skull on a visor cap which is made of brass plated with another
      material.

            I like the skull but are you sure it is an untouched headgear? The color of the eagle looks like sand color (Afrika)?

              Hi Karl, no worries on the eagle. Early Officer's flatwire cap eagles and breast eagles were backed with this colour

                This type of breast eagles backed in light brown were found on early uniforms, so called "Uniform alter Art". That means that they were used until ~36.

                You can find them most on the former Reichswehr uniform.

                      I got some nice pictures from Kay (SmKL). The pictures show a Braunschweiger brass skull "in action" at his IR17 cap! Thank you Kay!
