Congrats Paul, thats my old tunic, glad its found a good home, the yellow which is picked up on the two upper pockets in the photos is exactly, the same, and the tunic has a good history to it, I like the pink piped boards, I believe those are luft construction? Not totally sure, but think they look sweet with it! Compare the upper bobbin color thread used in sewing on the eagle with those posted by Willi, (more than likely Mike's old tunic as well) these tunics quite for sure were produced at the same place, I bet even the contract numbers match up! Ive seen four of these in the last 20 years, all exactly like this, and unissued

Just this one on the bandage pocket. I will make a better pic when my wife leaves for yoga this afternoon. I agree that this is definitely a later war tunic(43-45), I just do not know if there was a special way to determine the particular year without an LBA stamp.Attached FilesLast edited by PaulR; 04-05-2009, 10:56 AM.
