Reverse of cufftitle; looks as if whoever did the sewing was drunk!

Underside of left collar. The collar tab seems to have been sew by hand rather crudely.

There are loops for another badge on the left side of the left pocket but one loop is broken. Also loops for a ribbon bar (or something) over the pocket. The tunic looks more Feldgrau than these photos reflect.

I noticed the shade. It looks very LW blue from the photos. Very interesting item! Definitely one of a kind!

                        Dear Homer,

I recall seeing that uniform at George's. Nice to see that you have it. I thought one of the documents was for a Close Combat Clasp? If so that would look nice over the pocket.

                          Gary,
The docs I have are for an EKI, EKII, Verwundetenabzeichen in Scharz, in Silber, Erdkampfabzeichen der Luftwaffe and the Panzerabzeichen der Luftwaffe. I do not have one for a Nahkampfspange. One might fit over the pocket although the loops are very close to the top of the pocket.
Ackermann was an NCO right up to the final days - his award docs show him as Unteroffizier in Sep 44, Feldwebel in Oct 44 and finally Oberfeldwebel in 45. I probably should do a search for his records at the NARA in College Park.

                              HI Homer,

I must have been thinking of the Luft Panzer Badge Doc. I remember that the uniform had some nice documents with it. As I recall GP just had them clipped to the uniform. I am sure we have bumped into one another at GP's just did not know who each other was. Wonderful and rare tunic. George always manages to pull stuff out of the woodwork.

We've probably met. I stop by George's shop often on Saturday mornings when he's in town. I've known George since the 1970s and, thanks to him, I have a number of nice items in my collection.
