Can anyone ID this badge for me?

Someone is offering me this badge and i quite like it, but i've no idea who would of worn it, and whether its real or fake. Can anyone identify this for me or give me any information at all?

IMO ... fantasy ...

For instance, the pins are no where near German WW2.

The badge is bad Most likely British made.

However, the design is loosly based upon the KM Tropical helmet insignia.

I was given one of these from a Vets widow. I knew the Vet as I went to school with his daughter. The odd thing was he had a bit of cardboard fastened to the badge with a German soldiers name and rank written on it. But the badge was 100% bad. Mine had the same lugs and a heavy "silver / chrome" plated finish. Note the crooked off centre swastika too.

Thanks for the replies, much appreciated. Confirmed my fears anyway lol Ah well, not to worry. I guess value wise, this isn't worth much at all then?
