    thoughts on Heer issue shirt

hey Guys, Glenn here. I see this shirt being sold off and I was always on the lookout for one but you never really see any for sale or talked about so I was hoping maybe some of you have had some experience with these. here it is. I am not holding my breath though. please let me know your thoughts and if anyone can show some pics of a true one (if this isnt) I would be very grateful. thanks, Glenn

This is a near mint condition late issue german WWII winter shirt made of wool knit. It is well marked in the collar has gray pressed paper buttons similar to those found in late issue garments. It has only slight storage soiling and minor discoloration. Other than this it is MINT!!!

    Hi Glenn,

Seems to be a genuine shirt, just the 4 holed buttons I'm not familiar with. The weave seems Ok to me.

    MfG,
    Bart

I subscribe to Bart's doubt and I'dd add my own....only a button on the cuffs?I'd like to see two...not to adjust the cuff but to do it at forearm eight...and on aertex shirts of earlier styles I wouldn't mind a couple of breat pockets...not too many...just a couple!
      My two cents

I agree! As far as I'm concerned I would also like to see two buttons at the cuffs, exactly like on tropical issue WH shirts!

          Hi Manny,

I checked my shirts and all have just 1 button at sleeves end. Also my early Mausgraue Panzer shirt has no pockets.

Here are three pics of it:

Nothing to do with the shirt but...

I wonder why Manny got suspended . I personally considered him a true treasure in this forum. I hope its only a misunderstanding.

                With Respect,

                    Hi Bart,
I think Manny wanted to say "later" style...the ones cut after the tropical shirt,of which they retaing the two buttons at the cuffs and the breast pockets! As I was saying in my previous post I was about to post a picture of an artex shirt I've found a few mnutes ago and of another one with two brest pockets, but the one you've posted is way better looking than mine...congratulations...beautiful shirt, which I like better than the one posted by Glenn;let's keep in mind that these shirts were also produced, slightly modified, well after WW2 until not too long ago!
                    Regards
                    Lou

Lou, do you have a pic of one of those aertex shirts you speak of? I have one, but never thought it may be original! Its olive/tan kinda shade, cut VERY similar to the Brit aertex.

BTW, WTF is the go with Manny? He was here one day, gone the next? I will miss Manny, he was a great guy with a very intelligent imagination and sense of humour! Not to mention his level of knowlege... oh well, our loss is someone else's gain! Don't want to upset the cart now...
