What I must observe to identify to an orginial Edelweiss Gebirgsjäger of Schirmmütze?

- How is the sprong correct? Flattened or a wire?
- Is the sprong of copper or the same material of the badge?
- Which the dimensions?
- Is the badge solid backed or scoop backed?

Is the badge below correct? I already see other variations, according to itens listed above. Is there variations or can affirm a model standard?

The Edelweiss you show is correct. Many variatons excist but these are all hollow backed.
