NTZ, a put together is a different story. All dealers have those, some let the buyer know about it and some let the buyer quess. The issue, here is IF the tunic in discussion is a full fake.

However, to be fair to the dealer is to have the tunic inspected by hand.
I trust Glenn's opinion a great deal, my opinion comes after his, that's why I keep saying a hand's on inspection is a must.

You are right, I guess that was a cheap shot. What I was just trying to say is that dealers don’t catch everything. If you get too comfortable with any dealer that is when you will most likely find yourself with a questionable piece. From photos we will never know for certain on this piece anyway.

I agree with Glenn and Tony. Personally I would think a dealer such as Weitze would have too much to loose through dealing in fakes, and i don't think that all late war tailored tunics would necessarilly be still in good quality material.
I would not think it odd that a soldier ( or an officer) would want a tunic for walking out dress, and didn't really care how greater quality the material was, but rather that it was acceptable for such use.
Still i do think that they (Weitze ) or any other dealer may put up for sale items that may be questionable so i guess the hands on inspection with someone who really knows what they're looking at would be best.
