Feldgendarmerie cufftitle - OPINIONS PLEASE

Hello all,

I just picked this one up very cheap and wanted to know if it is a good one. I have never really had a lot of experience with insignia so I need your help. The material used passed the black-light test. I don't know how to really evaluate a burn test, but if you see the edges in a few photos down you will see the results. Please let me know either way if this is an original or reproduction. Thank you.

With the melted end it looks to be a copy

This type of weave on these cuff titles are now being faked very well, to be on a safer side you need to find one with the back like this

Thank you for your opinions. How many different types of weaves are there?

While I would like to have bought one with a weave on the safer side, this is what I have and I would still like to know if it is an original or a reproduction.

If the material has melted instead of burned then it is a repro

Sorry William but that is a copy. Anything that melts when burt shows that it is made of synthetic material which was not used at the time of production.

Thanks to all who viewed. If a more detailed explanation is out there please post it. I understand that this is a reproduction, but is there anything wrong in the construction?
