I'm sure there aren't many here who could give you an informed opinion on the insignia certainly not myself. You will need to post close ups. Did you get return privileges on this group because 2 pieces are certainly bad I would be tempted to send the lot back. The skull patch makes me nervous just looking at it.

I have seen a lot of these eastern volunteer / cossak / POA etc... insignias popping up in recent months. With exclusion of the printed / bevo arm shields which are standard construction, it will be hard to say prove that these are original without some sort of providence. Not to say that these are, but I have a hunch they are being produced (probably in Eastern Europe) from old fabrik, etc... It is hard to prove that they are real / fake since they are such one of a kind pieces. And some look really convincing. What do you have to compare them too?
There are several on ebay all the time. Remember most of these guys never made it back alive, so finding them is very rare. Just my opinion.

As a small aside,
i was always under the impression that a smooth backed Ostvolk award with a deep dished reverse was indicative of a post war issue 57 version?
I know that the second class version is shallow with a roughened finish in its wartime incarnation.
Just dragging this up from a previous, long past, badge collecting life. The medals forums are obviously the best place to ask further.
Memory is such a fragile thing .
