    Hi Mark

Yes in displays of the DAK PzGr in 1942 the lack of a tropenhelm could easily be explained. Especially with a stahlhelm instead.
An early DAK display of a Rifleman would not have a stahlhelm but instead a tropenhelm in 1941

    again Great display John

    cheers

Thanks gentlemen all, here are some details for 19.

Mark, I did not choose the cap, it was chosen for me, a very long time ago.

Tim, there are plenty of Tropenhelm, they just happen to have Luftwaffe eagles on them. Seriously, as this will eventually be on a mannequin much preferred the M40 cap over a sun helmet. Would like a greatcoat, but would not display it for it would cover most everything.

There are Heer web Y-straps also, just on other displays. One will be moved to this group when it is put on a mannequin.

Many thanks for all the comments and interest.

Additionally, wanted pieces which exhibited use and were actually worn in Africa when possible.

The only minty item is the assault pack which was acquired from Ed Hicks of Warpath Militaria decades ago.

Mark and Tim, the M35 helmet once resided in New Caledonia.

Truly a phenomenal accumulation of items representing the appearance of the Panzergrenadier in the north African desert, John.

                  John

                  Like the helmet.
I have owned several over the years with that exact same style camo finish.

Thanks Matt, Mark and Ramsey, much appreciated.

As we discussed over the years Ramsey, the joy is in the details. I especially like the reverse of the buckle, you will instantly know why.

Cracking tunic too, those shoulder straps look bedded in!

                          Best regards, Paul

                            Thanks gentleman,

Interesting reverse of one mag pouch, love the character of the wear and stamps. Safe to say "it was there" also.

Very nice display John. Would it be possible to please post a picture of the interior of the helmet? I have one with a similar sand camo scheme.

                              Regards,

                              Barry
