Yes in displays of the DAK PzGr in 1942 the lack of a tropenhelm could easily be explained. Especially with a stahlhelm instead.
An early DAK display of a Rifleman would not have a stahlhelm but instead a tropenhelm in 1941

Mark, I did not choose the cap, it was chosen for me, a very long time ago.

Tim, there are plenty of Tropenhelm, they just happen to have Luftwaffe eagles on them. Seriously, as this will eventually be on a mannequin much preferred the M40 cap over a sun helmet. Would like a greatcoat, but would not display it for it would cover most everything.

There are Heer web Y-straps also, just on other displays. One will be moved to this group when it is put on a mannequin.
