Officier coat?

I do not know what is this coat. No shoulder boards... Only markings....

Is somebody has an idea??

I see an OFF coat missing the rear belt and with sleeve cuffs a bit shortened and opened : a post war modification ?

The machine-stitched label in the pocket notes that the owner was Fhj.(Fahnenjunker) Pretzler who would have been in the process of officer training and this label looks like it is original by the stitching. The white thread stitching around the collar interior appears to be replaced as well as the poorly hand-stitched label at the back of the neck. Add to this the missing half belt with buttons on the back of the waist and no shoulder boards/straps and it is a coat in not so good condition for a collector. The shortened(?) cuffs have been noted and the shoulders are lacking buttons and loops for straps/boards. A close-up image would show if the straps/boards might have been stitched into the seam. Of course, if you want to restore the coat that would be possible but I personally find the coat on the bottom of the scale of desirable.
