If proper research is done you will find that my flag was only used from 1940/45. The ones shown on these listings are of the post war Spanish flags which Franco himself changed immediately after the war in Europe ended. The difference being in the scroll passing through/behind the eagles head and neck. Numerous sites explain this. These details are small but important. The 40/45 made flags had a white ribbon with legend while the post war flags have a red ribbon and legend.

I also appreciated very nuch the PV posted examples,
especially showing the Flange Jefatura Local banner.

I'm really curious, does the description or photos describe or show the national crest with
such heavy raised embroidery like this one? One of my Spanish friends who is in his mid 80's (and a collector of Spanish only) has said that this/mine can be likened to a German Regimental / Governmental Standard given the heavy double faced satin and the style of embroidery used. He believes it to be war time made. This doesn't mean it ever went to Russia, but only helps substantiate it being war time made.
Thanks!

Just noted elsewhere on the WAF by member Cyngiel84...
"What is the division? Is this a blue division from Spain?
What is the flag in the picture?" Maybe your friend knows?

he says ... "i see Compañía de Radio".
Followed by barkhorn1 post that "they are
part of a Signals / Radio Company ... of the
Blue Division. ... photo taken in Novgorod."
So I think the photo is now well identified.

IMO your Spanish flag is more likely a HQ office
flag, based on the use of chain stitching shown.
German, US, and UK regimental flags were hand
embroidered, rather than having machine fill work.
