Opinion request on two pole finials

    Hey folks,

I would appreciate any thoughts or opinions regarding the originality of these two pole tops.

Both are cast. You can see a bit of corrosion on the wreath of one.

    Neither is marked.

    Much appreciated! Thanks in advance!

    Hello CH:
IMO, the Army (wing down) eagle top is a reproduction, based
on no hole above lower claw and swastika - a common fake error.
On the NSDAP (wing out) 1p top, also likely a repro based on poor
lower left front wreath detail, and reverse odd length tail lines, etc.
You can search the WAF for more fake/real examples for a compare.

Yes, I would agree with your thoughts.

These didn't feel 'right' in hand. And poor details as you mentioned.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on these finials.

I agree with OFW. Detailing on both are very poor. The army eagle, if original has very crisp detailing as well as the second one which the oaks and leaves should be more profiled.
