    They are a rough cast and poor detail, and everything you would see in a post war example as you've mentioned. But in lieu of that, they are period.

      I'm sorry for the confusion. I initially thought that was a GHH eagle.........It probably is a GPH eagle which could explain the poor casting.

        No harm, no foul. Keep a proper eagle on course as being a legit one.
