J&Z railroad eagle

Hi everyone. Looking at my 1st purchase of a WW2 collectable. I have searched the forum and have looked at lots of pics and dealers sites. I have found this eagle pretty cheap from and just have myself asking why nobody has picked it up. I am curious about the black surrounding the swastika and if this is a repo or not. If the black was done post war then I can live with that as long as the eagle itself is original. Seller states it measures 26.5"x13.5"

I appreciate the input. The seller had this for $1000 a month ago and dropped price a couple times down to $450 now.

I think its been up before, looks like a poor recast.

An authentic J&Z bird is a glorious specimen and one of my favorites. It has great detail. This one ain't got it.

It is also not a size seen before in a J Z bird. I agree detail is very poor.

This bird was on gunbroker. It's a fake. The mounting points are in the wrong location for this size J&Z. The texture on the face of the eagle should be smooth, not coarse. It's one of the better fakes out there.
