            rare shellenbaum pole top

            hi members
            i believe this to be a rare genuine ww2 shellenbaum pole top was wondering if you guys can tell me if this one goes to something like the jingling johnny standarte pole top. this top is nickled on brass there are no markings like drgm or rzm marks at all it weighs one pound n half havnt had one of these rare to find pole tops in years sure was happy to get this one out of the wood work appreciate any help you can give me thanks again andy militarynut

              Sizewise it looks more like a eagle for a Glockenspiel. Schellenbaum eagle would be much larger. Regards, Ed.

                IMO too small for SBB use, but rather more likely an
                early 1930's commercial German flag company sold
                non-RZM flag pole top. Other variations I've noticed
                have just the round wreath, as shown in a pre-WW2
                period commercial catalog graphic provided below.

                  hi ed and ofw thank you for your posts yes i have to agree with ofw its not big in size for shellenbaum now that im starting to remove some old cob webs in my head after over fifty years in this great hobby . noe ed. anderson you just rang a bell glockenspiel eagle top that makes sence to me is it possible ed that this glockenspiel eage pole top held a standarte type of flag on its pole could have sworn i seen this eagle pole top in the film trymph of the will film i am wintering here in florida till may and dont have my library of books that might show this glockewnspiel eagle pole top cant thank you guys for your expertise and help thanks andy militarynut
