Hello Harald:
Here are a couple of my favorites, that I still have, obtained
back in the 1970's when I collected corner patch (cp) flags. I
held onto them since they are like numbered signals unit flags.
I was told, in t=597191, that the sulfur-yellow SA cp flag is from
SA-group Franken, in the area of Mellrichstadt and Bad Kissingen,
or maybe from SA-group Schlesien, in area Bielitz.
My SS signals Bn is for Nachrichten-Sturmbann 4 from Düsseldorf
in Oberabschitt West - a unit located at the police-headquarters
(Polizeipräsidium at the Mackensenplatz). General SS had only 14
signal battalions out of (~107-rgts x 3bns/rgt) = 321 SS battalion
flags. 5% were SS Signals unit flags. Only ~28 SS cp flags are photo
confirmed as having survived WW2, per WAF "wmtf" (t=427262).
(below) My cited signals cp flags, SA (on left), and SS-SBF (on right). OFW

Since lost my shirt in some exotic flag deals.
But oddly we regret the ones that got away. OFW (below) One of my favorites that I didn't buy. The really cool SA "blue-X" corner patch flag.
