    72x72cm Luft "Standarte"?

Have run across what purports to be a Luftwaffe Flak Standarte but 72x72 cm
(flag proper, not fringe). Hoist never appears to have been attached to anything (no holes). Anybody know of anything similar?

    Hello CWCB:
By the stated size, IMO at best a service commemorative
banner. A photo would help to maybe tell you more about it.

When I have whatever it is in hand I will reply; it's being sent for inspection.

These photographs are from my collection; They are of the swearing-in ceremony, a soldier luftwaffe. In them you can see the Standarte.

            Hello Milindre:
Always nice to see period Luftwaffe Truppenfahne photos.
Photo maybe of a 1st pattern, as eagle looks to be tail down.
Post #3 shows the 2nd pattern tail up Luftwaffe Truppenfahne.

The whatsis flag appeared; white sections light up like a flare under blacklight
so I'm assuming bad. Provenance looked like "possibly good" as far as it went .... somebody went to a lot of trouble to make it.

                      Good to know.

Thanks for that info. The more i examined the photos, as well as others, the more questions I had, and decided I can't spend that kind of money on anything that leaves me with so many doubts!

                        Hello Jayfuson:
Doubts ??? Devil is in the details - something the
reproductions always fail to accomplish. In other
words once you see the "real" thing you will not
be fooled. That is to say that the 1930's originals
contain thousands of micro stitching that holds
the narrow bullion wire thread strands in place.
