A strange looking NSBO flag, in that the white
circle is not in the flag center. Chain stitched
corner patch and metallic fringe appears WW2,
but maybe with an remounted swastika center.

Indeed, an off center centerpiece. Odd but not out of the realm of possibility. However, some collectors might not like it. If there are stitch marks where the circle would normally be, it could have been moved for some reason...but why?

The clips/snap hooks are typical. I currently have a DAF Kreisleitung Flag with the same style clips and hem construction. I have also had other NSBO flags with them as well. My flag is from Crailsheim about 75 km away from Backnang. Apparently, that company produced flags for the DAF organization and its subsidiaries in the Baden-Wuerttemberg area. My theory is that the original shape flag got damaged near the pole, and a new hem was sewn making it shorter. So no stich marks, because the circle is in its original position.
