There is a large disparity in pricing for tapestries in general as compared to flags or standards. I think your looking at a market that is aesthetically driven and you end up crossing genre as well. The Reich Chancellery pieces given their numbers are not an easy sell compared to other pieces but their political pieces which boxes them in and their tapestries which under perform in general. " Broader appeal " can be a catch 22 as well as market as gone soft on many of those items. There are enough of these pieces out there to gauge a valuation either way but gap has closed somewhat from the broader appeal pieces and the RK tapestry which have pretty much held their own.

What's a high, average, and good price for the one I posted?

His 5500 seems way too much.

For an end user I think the number is 4500.00, the last example that came to market that was similar in size and condition to the one you photographed sold at around 5500.00 going back 5 years ago maybe. After that the last sale I have is 4000.00. So? depends on how much you like it and if I was shopping for one I would pay fairly well for it but its not the condition of the example that sold for 5500.00 I don't think.

          Hello
IMO the "M" stamp was done at the flag factory, as
noted by the flag photo example shown in t=718520.
IMO the "M" stamp was an OK for sea use certification,
rather than an applied Naval Depot inspection mark.
