Indeed a small world. I can't recall exactly which PMS
is was at that I saw two guys walking by my table with
that nice cs (post #93) police star. I believe I asked at
the time if it was just purchased, and I was told "yes".

These days I hang out in cyberspace, mostly on
the 24/365 never ending WAF militaria show.

Around 1975, I traded it to the Lathrop-Wolfe
Lakewood California "Military Shop" back then, as
I decided to no longer collect corner patch flags,
but rather focus on trooped military unit flags.

Add mine chain stitched Austrian Polizei 1. June. 1938.

The 6. June. 1938 was made the World Championship of football held in France.
The Rimet Coup!

The Austrian team don't play!
The strong technical Austrian Commissioner "Hugo Meisl" and "Matthias
Sindelar" (probably, the largest Austrian player of all time), fourth in
Italy in the Football World Championship 1934 and silver medalist in
Berlin, he had to give up playing, because combined with the 'Anschluss to
Nazi Germany (which he called the best Austrian players to the national Nazi team).

May be this is a pennant Historical reminiscent of the sporting event of 1938
Football World Championship!
And the History of Austria!
The pennant is entirely hand embroidered on silk with gold filigree!
