Nice KM Flag found in Cherbourg

I found this flag a couple of years ago near Cherbourg.
I assume it's a E-Boat flag because I don't think there were U-Boats in Cherbourg during the war.

I found this flag a couple of years ago near Cherbourg...

Very nice, just like the one I got from a US vet back
in 1970, same maker and size. It was obtained from
the Brest U-boat pens upon surrender of the port.

I assume it was aboard an E or S-boat too, but there were Uboots that
came to get some rest in Cherbourg during the war, also (?)

The flag was given to me by a colleague's father living in Équeurdreville, a little city near Cherbourg and close to the naval base. He was a civilian worker in the naval base just after the liberation, his job was to clean the rubbles and he found the flag in a collapsed building. That why it is not brand new as the ones you can find in the shops that came from the kriegsmarine warehouses.
