I am trying but could not add to last post. This is another holster that is the one I would normally display with my A series. This is all matching except mags which are not numbered on any VIS I have seen.

Nice first Alpha VIS. When you say all matching you have torn the gun completely apart to check all the numbers? The only reason I ask is most people check the slide, receiver and barrel. The VIS especially the early alphas have many serial numbered parts.

Receiver of course
Slide in the upper inside channel
barrel (last three digits)
extractor (number can bee seen with the hammer cocked)
safety lever
mainspring housing
decocking lever
hammer
firing pin retainer

I was digging up some photos I had taken of all the serial numbered parts and realized yours has the lanyard loop missing. The mainspring housing has to be removed to take the lanyard loop off so if you haven't checked it I would. The only VISs I have ever seen without the lanyard loop original were some Navy that were very early produced, they were in fact pre-alpha.
