looking for info on G98/40 rifles

What units used these rifles? And at what time? Also does anyone know about their prices and availability (with nazi proofs) here in America?

Here is the one on the other forum:

    Thanks in advance

In the other forum thread you posted, someone stated the G98/40 is of Polish origin. Not so! The G98/40 is based on a Hungarian design.
Sorry I can't help with prices.

Thanks for that info, I will pass it along. Some of the info I've found suggests that these were issued in North Africa, anyone know if they were found in other theaters as well?

I just saw one sell at auction in MD all matching, say 80% finish. For $600. It was the only one in the lot of say... 50 german pistols and long guns.
