    Thompson M1 SMG

I just got this Thompson M1 submachinegun.
Its fully deactivated (with certificate and therefore legal ), with no moving parts.

Although its a bit beat up, partly due to the deactivation, it looks pretty neat.
It has Auto-Ordnance on the side. The serial-number is 92267. Am i correct that its an early production? any guesses on the manufacturing year?

I would like to get some opinions about it, what do you guys think?
While creating this thread i see that my picture's arn't the best. If any new ones are needed just tell me

GEG (George E Goll) acceptance stamp is from the savage plant. Your gun was probably made in Aug of ‘42 AO made over 300k M1’s before switching to the A1 so your sn is on the lower end.

          Thanks guys
It does look like it was cut and rewelded. How much does this effect the value?
For me, as its fully deactivated, it isn't a big problem. But i don't want to have overpaid ofcourse.
The seller did not mention it in the sale. And guess which part of the gun was not on the close-up photo's in the sale...

Any comments on the cut and re-welded receiver? how much does that effect the price? I'm not sure yet if i'm going to keep it or send it back to the seller.
