What can you tell me about this Reich-marked Czech CZ27?

I found an fnh Pistole Modell 27 Kal. 7.65 at a gun show. The phosphate coating on the lower receiver shows some pitting from being stored in the leather holster. The holster's top flap is marked on the inside. If I'm reading it right, it reads "Obw. Xaver Grudl 22051D". I'm guessing that the number is a field post number, correct?

Well, I can comment about the light pitting/loss of bluing on the receiver.
I have a Colt .25 made in the 30's that has exactly the same "damage."
I've been told blood and salt water will cause this.
The more I think about it, maybe it was actually blood?

Typical occupation CZ27. It is kind of in rough shape, but the holster is a plus. Of the four or five that I own I do not have any holsters for them. How much did you get it for? It is a pleasant gun to shoot minus the less than adequate sights. Also be careful inserting the magazine. The grips protrude a little and commonly chip or break at that point.

FWIW The pitting is consistent to long term holster storage. A reaction from the leather to the pistol finish.

The blood theory is very intriguing for many collectors or sellers but not at all common.

The blood would have done much more damage to the holster than the pistol finish.

I traded a Finnish Mosin that I had $60 in and the guy also gave me $50 to boot, so I have $10 in it.

Holster is legit. I have 2 exactly like it.

It's a typical pebble grain RBNr holster for the P27. From my personal experience, all of these that I have seen have been dated 1944. (as this one is also). Nice to have with the WaA as well.
