    Ask Henrik over on http://raskantik.com/

He has/gets a lot of MG parts.

    Cheers

There is a seller on US Ebay that makes/ markets pretty good reproductions of the aluminum optic block, they sell for about $140. I bought one and put it on the Yugo tripod I bought to shoot the gun off of. Also stripped the nasty green Yugo paint and painted it dark gray and made leather pads for it so it would at least look German!

      Here you go:

Some M53 mounts were originally made without provisions for the optic. This is probably what you have.

The sight block itself mounts to a sheet metal base which is spot welded to the outer cradle.

Only thing I can suggest is to find a scrap part that still has the sheet metal on it that you need and carefully remove it so it can be welded to your tripod.

Not an easy job! Wish I could be more help

Is this the part you need? (pic 1). If so, I would rather buy the whole frame (pic 2), and sell your's, as I doubt you might find the base only. If you did, you would have to cut and weld to your frame.
