                        Hi,

                        ewx is not one of the more common makers but not rare either, in my experience. That is a nice condition holster but polish or dye has been put on the outside, front and back. The stitching on the outside should be the same color as the stitching on the inside. Here is a link to an ewx made in 1944. The 1944 hard shell holsters are somewhat scarce.                           Leon makes a good point but the photos of the holster in this thread and the photos of the holster on the link have completely different lighting, literally miles apart.
                          And it has become very common practice to enhance leather collectibles and some people are very good at it without altering the color of the stitching.
