K98 - BNZ 4 - Review

Here is a 1944 made BNZ example.

Now it's not matching at all, for the US guys this will be really bad, however in England they are all most all like this.

Just wondering if everything is ok with the serials & the WaA stamps on the stock. (don't really like these myself)
The sling might not be coreect but that doesn't matter to much.

looks in great condition, however i am unsure of the eagle marks on the stock, they look strange, but i am no expert

Looks like a nice one overall, and again I'm no expert but the markings look very different to the ones on the stock of my BCD 4 rifle.

the left marking is a uk proof marking that it has been deactivated (2011 or 2012 i think) the right marking is the Steyr BNZ marking in a shield, correct barrel for this rifle.

Nice rifle, even if not matching s/n. I agree: british proof marking and Steyr shield.
I don't like the acceptance on the stock..

The proof mark was for when the rifle was live ,there are not any deact-marks,only a bit of paper .

incorrect, this rifles proof mark is a uk deactivated proof mark with crossed sword, D to the left and A to the right which means deactivated, and it has the two digit date of deactivation underneath, all uk deactivated firearms carry deactivation proof marks like this, and are also issued with a certificate of deactivation. live uk proof marks are the standard BNP British Nitro Proof marking for when a firearm is live.
