    Astra 600/43

Here is my new pick-up. A super conditioned Astra 600/43 in 9mm para. Very few of these were made and even fewer went to the Wehrmacht. This one did not but it is still a very nice astra.

I have a nice one that I believe was Police issue.

The trigger pull is so heavy the thing is about useless.
              I was surprised at this.

Hi Bill. The only specific West German police marked 600/43 I have observed and owned is "LBPN" for the Landes Bereitschafts Polizei Niedersachsen. Any other specific markings observed?

                  Joe,

Thanks for the comments. As far as I can see there are no other markings other than "unceta y companie" 75 1 E under the left grip on the wide flat area just above the lanyard ring. The pistol is in super condition so obviously did not see much use.

I love my Astra 400, but would really love the 6600 using 9mm ammo. They are attractive and well built pistols. Yours is in beautiful condition.

                      Joe:
I just pullerdout my Astra 600(serial 221XX) and the are no additional marks on it at all. The only wear to my example are holster rub marks to the high spots.
I share your views Bob H on Astra's. I have multiple 400s, 1 600 and 1 300 and these pistols are supurbly made and finished.

The LBPN was marked on the grip strap. The LPN (Landes Polizei Niedersachsen) used Star Bs and they were also marked on the grip strap. I also have a neat Star, an SI I think in 7,65mm, that is marked LPN on the grip strap.

                          Nice Astra 600.
Your pistol was made in 1944.
