Hi Divebomber, I think you will struggle to find out to whom your MP40 was issued to? This kind of info does not exist.
In theory, (but sadly not in pratice, the odds of finding this are millions to one against) is to find the Solbuch of the soldier who was issued with this particular gun, as that would have the serial number in it.
