Picked this rig up from a friend yesterday. A 1940 Mauser with non-matching but 1940 mag, brown plastic grips, correct tool and beautiful 1940 dated holster.

These grips are unique and quite hard to come by. Putting wood grips on this would be a terrible downgrade IMO. The rarity of these grips was the main reason I bought this pistol.Fantastic! I would replace the grips for real wood ones...Comment

GWA, thanks. While I could not really afford a "rare" luger, I wanted a representative example of an early war piece, in condition and with something special. This one does it for me.
Now I'm looking for a 1940 spare mag. Anybody got one?Comment
