            Spanish Mauser

            Hi,

It looks like a Mauser 1893, but it is hard to tell. Does it have any marks over the chamber? It must be chambered to 7mm Mauser (7X57) and it could have been made by Ludwig Loewe, DWM, Mauser or even under license in the Spanish State Arsenal in Oviedo.

MArks are everything in this case...

            Wishes,

            Douglas.

From the pics, I think it might be the Spanish M1916, a variation of the M93 Mauser. The reciever ring should be marked. If it isn't, you got one on me,
              Regards,
              Johnnie

It is a Spanish 1916 / many were imported to U.S. by Interarms in the 1950s / most were heavily buffed and reblued prior to import which removed the majority of markings from receiver.
