Very interesting. Have you tried other forums?

It reminds me of some of the Finnish 81mm Smoke Mortars (Savunheitin). Can you show a better photo of the firing lever?

It appears to have a couple of German Naval acceptance stamps on it.

                Regards, Leon

I emailed the link to some guys who don't look at the forums often but know a lot about mortars. This is interesting. I'll let you know what I find out.

Can you take a picture of the inside of the barrel? Use flash or put a penlight in the barrel to take a pic.

                          Ravenstein,

Your divice was made in France at KSB

Manufacture nationale d'armes Levallois- Perret / Paris 60 Quai Michelet.

                          The marking probably mean
                          Abschuß Rohr 6cm : 6cm launch Pipe

I don't know where they were used for.

                          Regards,

                          FRANK

Are you still going to try and take one down the bore?

Now that is really interesting. I thought with all the people here some one would identify it. I email pics to several with a lot of knowledge of such things and they did not know.

Oh well another bump because I would like to know.
