    Unknown rifle, please help

    Hello guys,
I got this one years back, it was sitting in a crate since then. Now I am wondering which model it is, and was hoping you could help identify it.

    The barrel is filled.

The markings look almost chinese, but one the piece in front of the trigger there is WaA stamp.

I have no clue about WW2 weapons, not my area, so any help is appreciated.

    Here some pics.

    Thanks

Chinese 98, manufactured in 1936. The quality is supposed to be questionable is you desire to fire them.

Thank you for the quick answers. Can any of you explain the WaA stamp on the one part?
What is the value of such a chinese mauser?
                        thanks

Since this rifle is a mixture of different part numbers, it's no longer in original factory configuration......After naturally being torn down and reassembled numerous times, a German manufactured and proofed part found it's way into the mix......Bodes

Mauser exported a number or rifles to the Chinese Nationalists, so it wouldn't be that hard to imagine a German part ending up on a Chinese made rifle.

I call it a chiang Kai shek mauser. Tougher to find, but not a reccomended shooter.(wall hanger)
