    Hypothetical question

If one were to legally rewat a dewatted RPG7, would there be any way for it to safely fire? I am not asking how one were to do it but I am asking if there would be any safe way to do it.

When the men in SWAT gear descend on your house tonight from black helicopters, I would suggest hitting the prone position immediately with your hands behind your head...

When you form 1 it as a destructive device, the only thing that I think come close to shooting a real rocket are the dummy rounds. They're propelled or ignited by a 7.62x39 blank. But how well they work I have no clue. Biggest problem I see is having to chase the darn thing down. Better tie it off with some long rope.

NOW AVAILABLE - RPG7 TRAINING ROCKET.... THESE ARE LIVE FIRING RPG7 TRAINERS MADE BY THE CZ GOVT ARSENAL.... THESE ROCKETS ARE LIVE FIRING WEAPONS WHICH USE A 7.62x39mm CARTRIDGE TO SIMULATE THE FIRING OF AN RPG.... THE TRAINER ROCKET IS A FIREARM BY ITSELF, NEEDING TO BE SHIPPED TO AN FFL AS A STANDARD FIREARM... TO OPERATE THIS TRAINER UNIT, UNLOCK THE ROCKET, COCK IT AND PLACE A 7.62x39mm ROUND IN THE CHAMBER....(ANY TYPE OF 7.62x39mm CARTRIDGE WILL FUNCTION - BLANK, LIVE BALL, TRACER OR INCENDIARY ROUND WILL WORK) ROCKET IS THEN SLID INTO THE RPG LAUNCHER, LAUNCHER IS THEN COCKED, AIMED THROUGH SITES OR OPTICS AND FIRED LIKE ANY OTHER FIREARM (IN A SAFE DOWN RANGE MANNER)... ROCKETS CAN BE USED OVER AND OVER BY JUST ADDING 7.62x39mm AMMO... THESE TRAINER ROCKETS HAVE BEEN LONG AWAITED TO BE IMPORTED INTO THE USA.... THE ROCKETS WILL ADD MUCH TO OWNING A RPG D.D. WEAPON.... THIS IS A SUPER ITEM WHETHER YOU HAVE A LIVE RPG, DEWAT OR A WEAPONS/AMMUNITION COLLECTION OF ANY TYPE.... AVAILABLE INDIVIDUALLY OR IN A SET OF THREE SHIPPED IN ORIGINAL CZ MILITARY TRANSIT CASE

I did notice. I don't think in this day and age in the US it is wise for this kid to post questions about how to get a dewat RPG to fire...legally or otherwise.

People Form 1 DDs on a daily basis. The govt knows and they dont care, such as long as one's using the proper way of going about it listed in the numerous NFA, GCA, and FOPA rulings.

I think the poster was just curious and wanted to ask the technicalities of it. No need for a caustic reply.

These trainers fire a round of ammo, not send the rocket down range. They are similar to the 9mm AT-4 trainers the US Army used. We captured one in Iraq. Pretty decent trainer. The firing pin would hit the rocket's firing pin that would fire a 7.62mm round out a barrel built into the rocket. Then you would take the rocket out, open the breach, load a new round and load the rocket. Then repeat. Steve

                            O.K., O.K., maybe not. I should've said nothing. Jeez.

But I still don't think it's smart in this "masacre of the month" society we live in here in the US for a kid (and he is a kid) to be posting questions like this. Maybe I'm hyper-senstive because I am a teacher, and I just always have an eye or an ear open for the next Harris and Klebold's of the world.

I'm sure Josh is a fine young man, with a deep fascination with firearms and RPG's. I can tell you this though, if he were a student in my district, and this thread of his became known, he'd find himself having to put up with a lot more than my caustic reply.

In Massachusetts? That would be understandable. The reality is these devices are sold all the time.
