M27 and CZ27, are the same pistol?

    M27 and CZ27, are the same pistol?

    I have two Soldbuch from Heer officers and both purchased a handgun just prior his comision as Leutnant, one is notated as M27 (Infantry officer) the other as CZ27 (Panzergrenadier officer) and I wonder if they are the same pistol, both are 7.65 mm. caliber. Are common pistols to Heer soldiers?

    I think that is highly probable that they are refering to the same gun: the Czech pistol CZ Model 27. After the German occupation, these guns were called Pistolle 27 but retained the inscription "Modell 27" in the slide. The "official" name was Pistole 27(t). Those pistols were fairly common among German officer in the Wehrmacht.

      Thanks for your answer, I also think are the same pistol, just want confirmation from someone who is more expert than me in the handgun field.
