He gave you the info you requested, and without waiting to see if this was incorrect you made the response you did. I do not believe your intention was to try and sell a bad piece, but if it is so easy to just look it up in the local database then why did you not do that yourself, then you would have known it was a bad piece.

The reason why I posted the dagger here is exactly because I looked it up and did not find the confirmation that the dagger was a correct combination.
But my experience (with collecting HJ-knifes) is that: non of the existing databases is complete, especially when it comes to rare maker marks and unusual types.
The expertise of senior Heer dagger collectors like Tom and Kevin therefore is priceless and that is what I was looking for... and obtained!
