    Help needed with gravity

    Hi all,

I know that a definite conclusion is not possible given only the pics attached.
But these are all I have for now from the owner. So I am hoping the more knowledgeable collectors here would be able to take a look at the pics, and tell me if anything immediately jumps out as not correct?
I know the clones and fakes have been made for 60 years, so it can't be easy. But perhaps it is enough to say if it has a chance, or if it is definitely a fake?
He says no blade markings, and rivets look to be steel. Action works ok, spring at back is fine.

Thanks in advance, I need to make a decision whether to take a chance or not.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate it.
The more I study and research these things, the more complicated they get.
I was worried about no blade markings at all. Not a lot of info mentioning no markings there.

Will take the chance and hopefully it works out.

        Best and thanks.

Looks like an SMF. It should have an RbNr opposite the inspector eagle. No blade marking is correct for that maker and knife type.

The release lever is interesting and strange in that it is machined slightly different contour wise on each side

I would ask for pictures with the bolster removed to see the numbers on both the underside of the bolster and where it attaches. It looks like the real deal, though.

Well, I have taken a chance and purchased it.
Either a high priced fake or a low priced real one :-)
Now it has to get to my forwarder in the USA and then to me in South Africa. Will strip and post pics when I get it. Hold thumbs for me.
