Been offered a nice Heer Parade dagger. Maker PD Luneschloss Solingen.
It also has provenance too.
I’m unable to post pics but how rare is the maker?

Uncommon if original. Most common if post war.
Without photos you won't get much more.

Looks like original Heer dagger produced by PD Luneschloss Solingen with generic type B fittings.
Knot is for Heer parade sabre.

I see no probs with that one, interesting to see the two toned grip where the portepee has been. As said not a common producer.

Thanks for all your interesting research into my grandfather's dagger!


Had lunch with my dad yesterday and her gave me heaps of information:


Hermann Glinkowski
Born in Hamburg 25th September, 1901
Joined the army in 1917
Division - 32nd Infantry, Regiment 6
Stabsfeldwebel - non commissioned officer
Began his army life as a cook in WW1
Went to Villers Bretonneaux, France
WW2 - 3 weeks in Poland at the beginning of the war then returned home to Moelln
6 weeks in France
6-12 months in Russia as a catering officer
Finished WW2 in Norway and was one of the last 4 German soldiers to leave Norway when the war ended - Captain, Lieutenant and 2 Stabsfeldwebel (Hermann being one of these)


Hermann had some medals that Dad remembered. but thinks his sister in Hamburg has them He remembered an Iron Cross second class and a Verdienst Kreuz


Hermann had an older brother, August, who was a Tank Kommander during WW2


I was very impressed with my 87yo dad's memory!


Hope this gives you some more colourful insight into the history of the dagger!
