After looking at close up pics of this dagger I see that the cross guard
matchs everything else in finish!

Laquer everyplace!

Just material used thru me on crossguard!

But does look ok!

Paul, it's hard to tell from the photos, do you think the portepee is original? The dagger looks very nice, I was just wondering about the knot.

Need an overall shot of the scabbard. It should taper from top to bottom and the fittings should get progessivly smaller. The center fitting appears to be the same size as the top fitting in the photo. If this is the case, it is a repro.
