I think it is a rare maker. Nice dagger by the way! A pity for the enamel damage on the SA button

That’s a rare beast. Wester & Butz was one of the small companies producing SA daggers. This maker is not seen very often. Congrats.

Wester & Butz is categorized as #10 on the McSARR list, making this piece among the rarest of the rare! Can we see the reverse of this dagger, especially the lower crossguard where there should be the stamped code of the SA-Gruppe that originally ordered this piece?

The condition of the scabbard and the grip -- excepting the SA button -- appears to be superb, though we'd like to see both sides of the blade, as well.

Sorry but appraising of dollar value is not my expertise.

More photos are needed. Especially good photos of the blade.

However, prices are very subjective. One collector is willing to pay more, another collector less. There can be quite some different opinions about the value.

Thanks for providing photos of the reverse lower crossguard, on which is the mark of SA-Gruppe Ostmark, for which this piece was originally ordered and delivered.

Again, a fine and quite rare dagger.

It is hard to tell because the whole blade is not shown.
