Here is a new one to me.

It has no motto, as expected on a 42 dated blade, has the RZM 7/66 42 mark on the blade ricasso, but it has the 35-41 seated squirrel mark instead of the over shoulder squirrel.

I think it's a rare variation, that looks 100% correct to me.

To date i have never seen the seated squirrel TM on a 42 dated blade !

you have found a rare combination & a great addition to your great Eickhorn hj collection, i bet you are a happy to have found this one for the collection

I have never seen a '35-'41 mark coupled with a '42 blade either although I don't doubt the combination. A rare item to be sure, well done John!

That is what I think as well. I have two other 42 dated HJs, one with the over shoulder squirrel and one with the RZM stamp but no squirrel.
