parad bayonet graved with cut down blade

find with a French veteran this parad bayonet with double engraved blade no common! the cut down is original period find in 1945 in germany by the seller! look!

Possible the scabbard was shorter and blade was then shortened, so is certainly not period, interesting etching by shooters used long 25cm blade. b.r.Andy

That is a nice Alcoso etch and a neat dedication. Too bad the blade was mangled by shortening it.. that blade damage reduces the value and collectability by a lot.

Yes the etching is very interesting (even the blade was shortened), possible only one side was done by Alcoso, the location side possible by distributor or elsewhere. I assume the dating is between late 1935 and 1939.b.r.Andy

Even with the damage you did well Patrick.I questioned the dedication purely because i had never seen one in that style before.
