"Looks like excellent piece, same opinion about the unit, its weimar era marking, Artillerie Regt.5, / 9.Battery. b.r.Andy
"1932 waren in Ulm der Regimentsstab und die II. Abteilung stationiert. Die III. Abteilung (7,8,9 Batt) war in Ludwigsburg, ebenfalls Wehrkreis V, stationiert. "

        Billy:

That is one heck of a nice shooting prize police bayonet. Added to the rarity of the dedication, as Serge says, is the gold wash that still remains.

        That is a beauty!

              Hi Billy,

I just love that Polizei style hilt. This piece has to be one of the rarest out there. Congratulations with this beauty, a fine addition to your collection. I can't get enough of this one.

              J.

NICE SCORE Billy! I have had a couple of these over the tears, but John Z. found a way to get them away from me, so be careful as I am sure he will be after you.

Thanks for the kind words gents. It really is a well done item & the condition is superb. Still trying to find the proper regimental knot for it.

I'm pretty happy with this shooting prize, but you never know. There's always a chance someone can pry it from my hands

                    Hello,

The knot will be for the 9th Company in an Artillery Regiment. Davis shows the knot to be all yellow in color.
