Fake RAD Hewer?

Sorry Darrick I should have been specific regards the spine.
Here is mine:
The throat on yours is the wrong way around and a very bad fit to the locket. Also the screws look too big to me.
Shading is there but worn.
You may have a very worn original here but I don't think so. The biggest question for me is the shape of the spine of the blade.
Has anyone seen anything like this before?
Cheers,
David. At Rathau on the Aller, the CO of 5th Royal Tanks advanced on foot to take a cautious look into the town before his tanks moved in. He encountered one of his own officers, a huge Welshman named John Gwilliam who later captained his country's rugby team, 'carrying a small German soldier by the scruff of his neck, not unlike a cat with a mouse.' The Colonel said: 'Why not shoot him?' Gwilliam replied in his mighty Welsh voice: 'Oh no, sir. Much too small.'

Usually a dead giveaway are the scabbard runners. Fakers seldom go to the trouble of reproducing them as they are hidden. All the fakes I've had were confirmed by poor runners, usually brazed to the throat and sometimes even loose. Although not always a given, its a good additional test, easy to check. Also, is the blade magnetic? some of these were made with cast alloy blades that look OK at a glance, since they were cast from originals.

The bottom screws are not buggered. The runners are tacked on with pins and the blade is magnetic. The thing that concerns me the most, outside of the screwy scabbard,is the shape of the spine, as David C. brought up.I'm just going to write this one off.I appreciate everyone that helped out concerning this. Regards,Darrick
