    # 6 on crossguard of SA dagger

hey Guys. Glenn here. I posted pics of my SA dagger on the forum last week and got some good info on it. thanks, now I have one more question I hope you all can help me with. I talked to Ron Weinand and He said to check out the lower crossguard for a number, and low and behold, there was one. I owned this thing for over 12 years and never saw it . highly unusual as I am HUGE into markings. but anyways... it is a number 6 located on the lower crossguard near the blade. Ron said this means it is a factory ground Rohme. can anyone out there tell me what the number 6 means. if it is a producers number then does anyone know who the maker is. any information on this would be greatly appreciated. thank you, Glenn

Hi Glenn, this is a benchmark number. My SA (ground Rohm) by Carl Eickhorn has a number "2" on it.

    Cheers, Ade.

Hi Glenn, as I understand it, each work bench at the factory was given a number, I think they were only numbered 1 to 9 or 10 (Help me out here guys? Going from memory here.) so that quality control could keep track of who did what.

        Hope this helps?

        Cheers, Ade.
