Hi David, I hope that you are sucessful in getting both the sword and dagger to help reunite the group. I love named groups.

Hi Ade, the General's SS dagger and sword are in my possession , I was thinking about maybe picking up some more items and starting to become very interested in the investment history of german daggers and swords as it certainly appears to be very sound , the approximate valuation of a Himmler dagger is a good data point.

      Best regards

Both were authenticated by Tom Johnson, rough and tough, can anybody give me a ballpark number...working on the camera to get some new pics, should be soon, just trying to understand this market as I consider some additional investment in it . thanks

Surely then you can determine the approximate value by using as a guide what you paid for it ? As this is not out of the woodwork and has come from Wittmann then you paid market value ,kind of answers the question ?

Hi Jon , it actually was purchased years ago as a complete grouping..not broken out individually , this wqas not purchased from Tom Wittman, but sent to and authenticated by him.

Dave, are you using the price of a Himmler dagger to guage the value of your dagger?

No, just thinking of something I'm thinking about acquiring in the future and what the market value is.
