SS Dagger M7/81 - RZM 1241/39, check it out

Here's the last of my latest wonderful finds. SS Dagger RZM M7/81, AZM 1241/39

Check out the pictures and tell me what you think. The term MINTY comes to mind, but please give me your thoughts.

I'm curious of the maker, Karl Tiegel and Mack & Eicklenberg. Who exactly was the maker, was it a partnership?

And sadly I must part with this dagger too, I'm not up to speed on SS dagger prices, so could I get a little help what this one is worth before I go to the Estand with it?
    I appreciate all comments.

    Thanks for looking, Steve

One of the nicest SS daggers that I have seen in a long time, congrats! I can not help you with price as I am not up on the market today.

I am sure that some, maybe many, will point to the fact that this being a "late" (although PRE-WAR!) RZM version that it's value or desirability is less than its maker marked counterparts (which were made in a ratio of about 6:1 to these RZM marked later 30s pattern), but don't be too quick to take the bait.

I can tell you these three facts:

                1. This one is over the top nice condition (although small hit to enamel button hurts it some), more so for a late 30s period where the fittings particularly are found with missing plating.
                2. This maker and marking combo is very SELDOM seen!
                3. The 1939 date is very scarce as well.

The SS had very little growth from 1936-1940, dagger award was suspended after 1939 and there were not many inducted each years during those years that I cited above.

Very nice conditioned RZM SS dagger. Very nice.

Value is off course less than early makermarked pieces.
But I would value this one between 2500 - 3000$.
Dealers tend to ask more for RZM pieces these days.

Sadly, this one's off to the Estand with my others.
                        Good luck to all.

                          Good luck with the sale.
It is very fairly priced and its a lovely dagger.
If I hadden't a minty Hammesfahr coming up, I had bought this one at once although I normally dont collect RZM's.
